For once, I am excited to post a review as Carl's Place exceeded all expectations!

short version: if you are interested in a golf bay, do NOT look elsewhere. This is professional grade at a fraction of the price and one of the best purchases Ive ever made. Im still not fully finished with the project (as you can see in photos...flooring needs some work) but have a couple hours of pounding balls into it and it is a work horse! assembled in my single care bay of my 3 stall garage and it fits perfectly.

Long Version: I ordered the 11ft bay, frame poles, mid-level screen and 1 baffle. Everything came faster than expected and extremely well packed/organized. The online video made assembly very simple although you should note that you likely need 2 people and you can ignore the pre-drilled holes in the pipes as they are not needed (this isn't noted in the video).

I did not order any foam inserts but instead rolled old blankets /towels up and placed where foam would be ...works perfectly and saved a lot of $$.

I also ordered a 12x10' heavy duty black tarp with metal O-Rings around the edges and secured to the back of the white screen with the extra bungees. If you plan to use a video projector, you 100% need a black backing and a $20 tarp works perfect at a fraction of the cost.

I feel one baffle is enough as I haven't had any shots escape but the extra ones are cheap and easy to install so might be worth the investment for two.

Importantly (and thankfully!), Carl's includes a ton of extra bungee cords and zip ties. It should be noted that if you are a heavy hitter, you will bust some zip ties almost every session but literally takes 30 seconds to replace. I'm going to try a heavier duty zip tie to see if that helps with longevity but again, they added about 70 extras for you to start off with. Classy move, Carl!

Bottom line is I will recommend Carl's to all of my friends and colleagues as they create a quality product, have reasonable prices, add unexpected value and have amazing customer support.

Hey, when my wife can't find something to complain about, you know it is a winner!

The product and shipping time are great. I expected to receive the product much later than I actually did so I was thankful for that. The mat itself is fantastic, it really does have a real feel to it and I've already seen the payoff in my shots on the course. The only issue I had was the way it was shipped. It is rolled up, like most mats, but because of that, the insert takes a very, very long time to lay flat. I contacted their customer support, which was very prompt, and they provided me some suggestions, but they weren't really effective. I did eventually get it to lay flat but took some work. I first tried to bend it backward, tie it to keep it that way, place a hot towel on the foam and let it sit overnight. Then, tried to lay it flat, place a hot towel again on it, then put a bunch of weights on it. Finally, I ended up flipping the whole mat over, and duck taping the insert edge and mat edge together, which got it to lay flat. Even with that though, best mat I've had, would 100% recommend. Though, I would advise the company to figure out a different way to send the insert to avoid this issue.

The people at Carl's Place were very patient and helpful. I designed my own enclosure around the Carl's Place premium 15 by 8.5 hitting screen. I'm very happy with my purchase! For those who read reviews, I have a huge space for my simulator and if I had it to do over, I would have bought the 16 by 9. The advice is to buy the biggest screen you can fit into your space!

I bought a do it yourself enclosure and preferred screen four years ago. The preferred screen lasted and worked well. When it wore out I upgraded to the premium screen, it developed a hole at the intersection of screen and the edge within a two months of limited use. I wrote customer service and they suggested I buy a new one. Gee, thanks. Great customer service. I will be taking my next screen purchase elsewhere.

Update: They offered to let me send the screen back to them and see if they can fix it by potentially shortening it. I will try to sew it myself. I can always turn the screen upside down. Customer service did improve from the initial three emails they sent and tried to make it right.

Just completed assembly of Carl's Place DIY C series enclosure with premium screen. Every aspect of this endeavor went extremely smoothly because of the thought and preparation by Carl's Place. This included a very helpful and courteous chat session with a rep from Carl's Place that ensured correctly ordering the appropriate kit elements; followed by surprisingly prompt shipping; including very clear, complete and easy to follow instructions for assembly of the incredibly well engineered components. Perfectly fitted elements with more than enough connecting attachments allowed complete assembly in about 8 hours by just my wife and I (though she is a very hard worker). I cannot think of a single suggestion for improvement. Overall price also entirely reasonable. A genuine 5 stars.

Bought the Gel Mat insert for my home setup. I couldnt be happier with the results. I get longer sessions in and the consistency of my shots has greatly improved. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
